Its been busy at work the last couple of weeks reporting crop acreage. Hopefully, that will wind down in the next week. The year has not been quite as trying as the last couple of years -- especially 2008 Flood. However, there are still enough challenges that farmers have been faced with -- some prevented planting acreage and failed acres because of cool wet weather then some flooding in the white river. Anyways we are getting some very needed rain this evening..........

Just attended my nephews Graduation Party! I'm sure he is glad -- Happy and Sad all at the same time :-) :-(

Planting is still progressing in our area. It has been several weeks since much planting has taken place because of the rains. We have been getting some planting done this week in between showers. The hot sticky weather brings rain. It may rain in the south part of the 40 but not in the north part. Makes it difficult to get much done. Then the forecast is for heavy rains and you are affair to plant?? Hopefully the weather will turn around so planting of corn and beans can be completed. Seen a wheat field this afternoon turning different colors. Hope its because of harvest nearing and not because of disease??

It was a Beautiful Day Today. The area has received around 2” of rain in the past week. Ground conditions are saturated as we speak. Hopefully the warm sunny weather will dry the cropland out so farmers can get back into the fields.

A lot of farm work got done in our area last week before the rain came in. Some farmers are saying they are finished with planting. Can you believe that it is only April 25th? It has been raining since Friday night. However, we were able to get some garden work completed yesterday in between the showers. We have received almost 2" in our area. Hopefully, the weather will now turn to the better!
